Sandy Corbett wil be teaching you different techniques about book making and binding. The two are inseperable. During this workshop you will make 2 small books. Books like this make an ideal gift for any special occasion such as wedding, special birthday, travel, newborn baby, etc. Or you could use it for yourself as a journal, photo album, poetry book, drawings and so on. There are plenty of uses for tresures like these.

Harakeke/Flax Weaving 2   16th Oct 2010

Enjoy a  relaxing day  at Studio 226 and  learn about harakeke/NZ
flax weaving. This is a one day workshop for beginners and people
that  have  attended  the  introductory  workshop.  It  is  a  hands  on
experience  that  provides  you with  information  on  how  to  gather
and prepare harakeke for weaving. A variety of techniques will be
shown  and  you  will  be  creating  your  own  works  such  as  kete,
flowers or other items. A list of what to bring will be provided prior
to the workshop.
